I meant to go back and post these a long time ago. I am starting to resign myself to the fact that I am just not going to be able to get back and catch up on Nolan's whole first year. So instead I am dumping some more phone pictures. This is a pretty accurate account of the time anyway!
So this time I am posting April 2012 through June 2012! Enjoy!
I can't remember where I had taken the other two, but I do remember that Addie and I had a supper date just us! She loves smokey row and loves the window seat so that is what we did! Her first time tasting Sioux city sarsaparilla and she loved it!
Three months old and I love to smile!!!!!
And I love to suck my thumb. Only my right thumb....I have no idea how that other thumb works!
I accidentally fall asleep with momma for my early morning feeding and then end up sleeping with my mom and dad! Yeah!
Easter morning! Let us celebrate with the tune of recorders! He has risen indeed!

I believe that Lauren had figured out how to climb up on the step stool to get what she wanted on the counter....I think it was jelly beans here. :-)
Nolan had just started playing with and reaching for his toys (April 12, 2012). This was almost a year ago and look at how chubby he was!!

Love this one....we call this Daddy blackmail. He was supposed to be outside playing with kids and I found him on his phone....so I took a picture and messaged it to him!! :-)
One of God's absolute wonders....we saw this rainbow while taking Addison to school one rainy April morning. It was beautiful!!
Another Lulu incident....I can't remember what she hit, but her poor little lip was black and blue!!

Little photo of Lulu playing. She was 2 1/2 years old here. This was the first time I really noticed that she was pretend playing something that made sense to me. I know a lot of it made sense to her! :-) You can see that the Mommy and Daddy were tucking the big sister and baby sister into bed. So cute!
Just a keeping it real. This is just how my kitchen looks on a day-to-day basis. Dishes dirty and clean everywhere!!
This is the day the end of April that I realized that Lauren could unlock and open the back screen door. She let herself outside and was going to the sandbox. I had been in the basement changing laundry. Man, my heart jumped when I got upstairs and realized that she was gone! Yikes! This is how I found her.

Nolan's first time trying the exersaucer. He was almost four months old. I had to do laundry and I needed him close by me. He did pretty well for the first time!

Lauren and Nolan - It was May 3rd. The weather was so warm and nice for May. Nolan was four months old. These two were having fun snuggling in the chair.

I got this T-shirt for Nolan before he was born. It says, "My Mommy & Daddy think I'm a catch." Such a cutie!!

The same day I realized that Lauren could crawl up on the counter to get a banana by herself. Ahem...that scared me a bit that day too!
I let the girls go outside and play in the rain. Even though Lauren doesn't look like it they were so excited!!

One afternoon Lauren got a hold of a stamp and stamped her entire body and clothes when I didn't notice. Sigh!
Addison was the catcher here. She back in the shadow against the backstop. I couldn't get a better picture and the baby was crying most of the game so I wasn't able to take another. She was in the full catcher gear which was too big for her body. She was a little afraid of catching any balls and mostly just stood there! She did a great job though!
She did hit well. That girl loves to hit the ball!!
Nolan somewhat happy during a tball game. This was nap time and usually he was very unhappy about being there and being awake!

Nolan was about 4 and half months old and he wriggled out of his positioner and got both of his arms out of his snuggle me wrap. Time to move on with both things!!
May 20th - Our first Frosty Udder trip of the year. (Our favorite local ice cream joint.) We tried to give Nolan some. Since he really hadn't tried any food yet he had no idea what to do!! That changed pretty quickly over the summer!

Last day of school for Addie so Lauren and I had a special Lunchable picnic outside for our last day together before Addie was home for the summer.
Aunt Lish took the girls to Jungle Jims in Ottumwa. They had tons of fun and were exhausted when it was over!!
Lauren did really well in the big bounce houses. It was the first time she had been in ones that big and she warmed up to it pretty fast!
Just a really not so fun tantrum that Lauren had one afternoon. She threw herself on the ground and wouldn't get it up. You can see the happiness on her face! :-)

Rain day fun.....I found a few Zhu Zhu pet pieces on super duper clearance and stashed them away for a day like this. So I surprised them and we built this whole Zhu Zhu land!
Lunch at Smokey Row. This was a brave day as I remember. Nolan totally melted down and I had nothing no diaper bag, no binky, no nursing cover up. I got a couple of to-go boxes and we high tailed it out of there!!
June 8th - First swim of the summer!!! We got a bigger inflatable pool. Not as big as Addison wants, but it works well!
Nolan joined us at the table by playing with his highchair toy. He was pretty rough with it though and it didn't stand nearly as well as it did for Lauren!
Hi Momma! I am a little over five months and I finally rolled over!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We needed something fun to do so we packed up some food and went out in the back yard for a picnic lunch. The kiddos loved it! Corn dogs aren't really a picnic food, but we don't normally have corn dogs so they were excited!
All I can say is gross Lulu!!
Nolan was working on updating his GPS maps like Daddy! :-)

Gorgeous June day!! This is the view from Nolan's blanket on the ground.
Lauren wanted to be tucked into my bed one morning to watch a movie. I believe she asked to be, "snug as bug and have her John Deere milk."
So that was a quick look at April through June of 2012! I have my old laptop working again for now. So I can do a little more updating!!
