Basement Revamp #1 - Saying goodbye to the pool table

When we bought this house six years ago, we really didn't have plans to stay in this house as long as we have.  Lets just say we never imagined having three kids here!!  Or that I would be staying at home with all three of them!!  So...........we have had to do some rearranging to make things work and some scaling down of the "things" we have.

Just look at this craziness!

Before Nolan was born we put the girls in one room together and made the nursery into Nolan's room.  I really didn't feel up to to deep cleaning before he was born and it got a little disastrous here.  Then we had Christmas and more toys made their way into our home and it got really disastrous!!

A couple of months after Nolan was born Adam and I had about enough!!  He took some time off work and we started figured out how we were going to transform our "rec room" basement into a playroom of sorts.

First thing that probably would have to go was our pool table.  Adam bought the pool table from his Uncle M. when first moved into the house.  Adam had lots of great memories of playing at their house with that table!!  He considered selling it and even posted in on FB.

We decided the night before we tore it down to let the girls play with it for a little while.  They played one last game of rolling the balls into the pockets.  They have loved that since they were little.  So they played that for a while and then............................

we decided that we just weren't ready to part with it yet.  Too many great memories with Uncle M. and we just weren't ready to let it go.  So.....with some careful maneuvering we tore it apart and stored it in two different closets in our house!

Here is the basement empty and ready for some organization!!
