Schrader Christmas & Visitors

This year's Schrader Christmas was the second weekend in January.  When they picked the date we really didn't know if we would be able to be there or not.  Nolan wasn't due until the 9th of January and I was almost a week overdue with Addie so who knew?  Nolan was a week early and even though he was almost two weeks old I still wasn't sure we could swing it.  We arrived pretty late, but were still able to get a chance to see everyone and open presents.......which of course is what the kids were excited for.

Here is a shot of one side of the crowded living room. There were people in the kitchen too......we are just getting so large!!

Another shot of the group.  I didn't get a lot of extra shots.  It was a little hectic for me and Adam was socializing in the kitchen....imagine that!!

 

Here is Lauren opening up a newborn baby doll.  She loved and it wanted Mammy to get it out right away.

Here is one of my cousins holding Nolan.  It was nice for everyone to get a chance to meet him and hold him.

And another pic.......Nolan did great and slept soundly through the whole Christmas.  We really had no idea how he would do in a large group, but he tuned all the noise out and slept!!


The next day Nolan went to our church for the first time.  He did pretty well.  For some reason, the organ seems to wake him up.  The girls would always be lulled to sleep by it, but it seems to wake him!!  He did great and was held by many!!


That afternoon Alicia, Mammy & Papa stopped by our house.  They had been at one of my other cousin's new baby's baptism in Iowa City.   They wanted to stop and get some snuggles with Nolan for a little bit.


Before they arrived Lauren and Addie had a little dance party.........they like to play this A LOT.  Note the fancy get-up that Lauren put on.

Vest....check!  Diaper....check!  Princess high heels.......check!  That is one rockin outfit!!

When Mammy and Papa got here, Papa and Nolan snuggled on the couch.  I am pretty sure that Alicia got a picture of the two of them napping together too!!!  Nolan is a good snuggler!  He kind of forces a person to close their eyes and just snooze for a little bit!

Then Aunt Lish got some snuggle time in.  I don't remember them taking a nap together, but it might have happened....he is just that good! :-)

Look at that face!!!  He is OUT!  Love the zonked out look a newborn gets!  And it takes all you have to get them to wake up and eat!! 

Not sure what Adam and Addie were doing here.  Addie was probably showing off, being silly...there could be many reasons. 

Here is Lauren getting brave enough to hold Nolan again.  She really wasn't a big fan of holding him at first.  She really just loves to talk to him and look at his face!  Here she was looking at his hands.  His hands had mostly been in mitty sleeves up to this point and so she was obsessed with his "little fingers"!


It was a really fun and busy weekend!  It was great to see family and catch up with everyone!!
